Packaging Guide

A proper packaging is of crucial importance to guarantee the safety of your goods and preserve the integrity of other packages. Make sure you pack your goods carefully inside a suitable box that can withstand the transport.

Light goods (<30 kg) can be packed in boxes, heavy goods (>30 kg) must be placed on pallets and secured with straps or placed inside wooden case to allow mechanical handling.

Here are some tips for packing your goods correctly

Sturdy boxes: use outer boxes made of rigid, spill-resistant material, ensuring maximum protection for your goods. Moreover, use transparent film instead of black plastic film when packaging your shipments.
Packaging in perfect condition: make sure that the packaging is not damaged or worn and has at least one free side to affix the shipping documents. Avoid using second-hand packaging and prefer customized packaging for greater security.
Extra protection for fragile objects: use suitable containers for breakables containing liquids in order to ensure the safekeeping of fragile objects. Make sure that the corners of wooden boxes are properly protected and that the box is in perfect condition without chipping.
Stable and secure pallets: for palletized loads, stack the packages for maximum strength and stability. Fill boxes completely and use shrink film to fasten the cartons on the pallet. Apply labels directly on the boxes for better traceability.
Filling and cushioning material: inside the box, place at least 5 cm of cushioning and protection material. Wrap each item individually with padding material and place it in the center of the box, providing additional protection at the sides, top and bottom.
Secure fastening: use custom-printed adhesive tape to close boxes. Apply one layer along the seam line and two layers across. Avoid using paper tape, transparent office tape and other less secure fastenings.
Clear addresses and information: make sure that the sender’s and recipient’s details are clearly visible on the parcel. Add document envelopes, adhesive labels (parcel markers) and other information required for trouble-free delivery.
